Contemporary Summer Wedding The Joseph Le Meridien

Klair and P.J. had their contemporary summer wedding at The Joseph, Le Meridien on June 5th. 2017.  These two have a contemporary and creative sense of style which made, The Joseph, Le Meridien with it’s to die for art collection and classically modern furniture a perfect back drop for this ever so wonderful wedding day! Their wedding started with Klair in the spa suites at Le Meridien and P.J. in their German Village home.  Each sharing laughs with loved ones.  Klair’s impeccable taste was evident in her carefully curated details and it must be a family trait as her sister created her beautiful invite.

After P.J. was dressed, he and his groomsmen traveled to Le Meridien to relax while Klair got ready for their first look.  Once Klair was dressed, we had shot a few portraits of her bridal look in it’s perfection and then it was time for these two to see each other, which was a pretty amazing kind of moment.  P.J. seeing the love of his life and soon to be wife, wrapped his arms around her and a few tears may have been shed, so very sweet.

Then we wandered around their other favorite neighborhood, The Short North (German Village being the first) before it was time for their ceremony which featured a wall of greenery and a serene, calm and contemporary vibe. After their ceremony, cocktails were enjoyed, grand entrances were made and first dances and speeches brought on laughter and tears before everyone celebrated and danced the night away.

About Klair and PJ – They love to travel (Greece was their honeymoon location and they visited Kinsale in Ireland last year (which is where my grandmother was from and a place I have visited since childhood, I highly recommend adding it you your itinerary the next time you’re in Ireland, but enough travel talk, because today is the 8 year anniversary from their first date and given the sweetness and love that is evident in the way these two talk to each other, their marriage is the next step in a life long love story that will stand the test of time.  More from these two can be found below along with a few of my favorites from their wedding day,

Klair and P.J. met in the Spring of 2009 in a dorm room in Athens, Ohio. Klair was in her freshman year at Ohio University and P.J., a junior at Ohio State, was on campus visiting friends. Their first meeting was a bit inconspicuous (P.J. apparently thought it was best to play hard to get and barely acknowledge that Klair was present), but their paths crossed again and they bonded over some late night pizza (all good love stories start with pizza, right?). Klair and P.J. kept in close contact via text messaging (lots and lots of text messaging…) and after a few years of going back and forth between Athens and Columbus, they both settled into their jobs in Columbus and decided to call German Village home.

The movies – saw “Funny People” at Lennox Theater – hated it!

After almost 7 years together (P.J. apparently likes to take his sweet time…) P.J. proposed to Klair on the beaches of Tulum, Mexico in April 2016

Besides envisioning life long term with PJ – I have loved the creative process of working with vendors.
